PMC Capital, Inc./PMC Commercial Trust

Senior Vice President

  • Secured PMC’s approval to make first liens on SBA 504 program loans resulting in over $70 million of dollars of production

  • Supervised as many as eleven employees in the credit department at one time, both professional and support

  • Co-managed and managed the non-motel marketing department for ten years

  • Developed new small business markets, including the RV park and pet kennel industries, and franchises

  • Headed marketing website update, both copy and structure 

  • Trained more than 50 marketing and credit people over the course of tenure at PMC

  • Helped to build SBA loan portfolio from $9mm to over $160mm.  Overall portfolio grew to over $400mm including conventional and 504 loans

  • Credit experience was influential in approving and structuring loans as a member of loan committee

  • Primary contact in negotiating contract with the Texas Credit Union League in order to act as their outside source for SBA loans for their members

  • Presented PMC, its processes and procedures, to external auditors, potential lenders, and CMBS purchasers

  • Was instrumental in securing PMC’s approval to make B&I loans through USDA

1987 to 1989

Independence Mortgage, Inc.

Vice President

  •  Developed relationships with banks in order to market programs not in competition with the banks’ credit requirements or their traditional bank products and services

  • Analyzed and structured loan scenarios to meet the lender’s and the borrowers’ needs

  • Negotiated terms and facilitated closings of loans with the assistance of outside counsel 

  • Generated approximately $22mm in loans – maximum SBA loan size was ~$500k
